November 2025 Counselor Newsletter

Message from the Director

Greetings Counseling Friends!

We’re in the home stretch. The UC application deadline is December 1 (11:59 PM PT) and we would love to help your student apply to UC Santa Barbara. See our webinars below for details on how you or your students can join. As a reminder, our YouTube channel has UC application playlists which cover everything from how to add coursework to writing the PIQ’s. | UCSB4me

It’s been a wild month, from a UCSB alum pitching in the World Series to faculty winning TWO more Nobel Prizes; Gaucho pride is riding high. Read more about our Nobel Prize winners and their research in Physics. Do you have physics students? I hope they added UCSB to their college list as we now boast of 5 Nobel Prize winners in Physics. UCSB’s 8 Nobel Laureates include 2 winners in Chemistry and 1 in Economics.

Cuca Acosta, Executive Director
UC Santa Barbara, Office of Admissions
