Reminders/Announcements:
- Financial Aid: The priority filing deadline for the FAFSA and the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for all UC campuses is March 2, 2026. We encourage all students to file a financial aid application before admissions decisions are posted to be considered for all eligible merit and need-based aid options.This includes our nonresident students.
- Open House: Registration is open for our event on Saturday, April 11, 2026! If you plan to bring a bus of students, please confirm with us by emailing eventmanager@sa.ucsb.edu so our parking staff is prepared to direct you at the event.
- UC for Everyone: UC Santa Barbara will be part of the virtual programming, UC for Everyone, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, PT. This webinar is an overview of the University of California and how students can prepare for the academic journey. Open to high school and community college students! Consider joining us and also sharing the registration link with your students.

First-Year Updates:
- Next Steps for UCSB Applicants: We created short videos to share details about the next steps for UCSB applicants. Videos highlight everything from residency, change of major, coursework updates, and more! Please share with your UCSB applicant students. Watch our recently held Financial Aid Overview in the playlist for details about financial aid options and scholarship opportunities.This includes our nonresident students.
- Virtual Events: Events are available to guide students throughout the admissions process. This season’s events include Student Q&As, UCSB college specific webinars, and UCSB Majors & Careers. These events can be found on our Admissions Events Calendar under First-year Events.
- New Jersey NACAC: Calling all New Jersey area high school counselors! UCSB will be attending the NACAC New Jersey college fair on March 4, 2026. We'd love to connect with our East Coast students during the fair. Interested in having UCSB visit your New Jersey school? We will offer limited in-person high school visits March 5-6. Connect with Jevon Edwards at jevon_edwards@ucsb.edu to schedule a visit!
Transfer Updates:
- TAU: Fall 2026 applicants can submit additional Transfer Academic Updates (TAU) through Mar 15, 2026. Please remind current applicants to check their emails and respond to any requests from our or any Admissions office in a timely manner.
- Mark Your Calendars: Save the date for our Transfer Open House on Friday, May 8, 2026! This event is for admitted and prospective transfer students. If you are planning spring travels for your campus, please consider joining us on this day!
Visitor Center Updates:
- If you are looking to bring a group of students to visit UC Santa Barbara, please submit a Group Visit Request! Our Group Coordinator will work with you to book a date and time for your visit. Visit options include Guided Campus Tours, Admissions Presentations, and Self-Guided Campus Tours. We are currently confirming group visits through June 2026 but you are welcome to submit a request for future dates as well. Please note that availability in March and April is currently very limited; we encourage you to visit in May if possible.
