The following is not an exhaustive list of all organizations and community offering both on and off campus. Refer to UCSB Shoreline for a full list of organizations and events. Open to all students.

Members of the Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) reaches into the university and collegiate community, primarily to those who are Asian Pacific Americans, with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. AACF is committed to making disciples by educating and equipping students in biblical foundations, Christian disciplines, and the development of spiritual gifts in order to prepare them for witness and service on the campus, in the local church, in the marketplace, and in world missions.

The Asian Pacific Islander Alliance is a collective of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) identifying and allied staff, faculty, and students at the University of California Santa Barbara that aims to create a supportive, proactive, and knowledge sharing community in order to ensure a welcoming, safe, and inclusive campus for the AAPI community.
 

The COAA looks to build a stronger community of Chinese and allied students who also love outdoor activities and adventures. Although the COAA focuses on hosting events for Chinese students, we also welcome all in the UCSB community to join us. You will have the opportunities to meet new people who share the same passion as you do, and experience a variety of outdoor expeditions and training programs for a great time. On top of all the enjoyable events in Santa Barbara, safety is the first priority.

The Chinese Student Association are dedicated in promoting Chinese culture, awareness, and acceptance while at the same time, providing a medium to unite fellow students in common interest.

Hong Kong Student Association is a social-oriented student club founded in 2005. HKSA open to all UCSB students who are interested in Hong Kong culture. The club has the mission to promote Hong Kong cultures.

Iaorana Te Otea teaches students the rich Polynesian culture through the unique dances of some of the many islands.

Japanese Student Association at UCSB is a campus organization aimed to raise greater awareness and appreciation of Japanese culture and traditions through events and activities. JSA provides a community for anyone interested in taking part in the organization. At the same time, JSA is also a support group for Japanese exchange students and Nikkei students who hope to reconnect with their heritage.

Kapatirang Pilipino (KP) is one of the largest API organizations on campus. Started over thirty years ago as Pilipino Student Union, KP strives to uphold the four pillars on which our community was built upon: Academic, Cultural, Political, and Social. KP has a wealth of resources for our members such as the Ate/Kuya/Ading Mentorship Program, cultural and political workshops, intramural sports teams, and various social activities. You do not have to identify as Pilipino to join. All are welcome to come and attend events as long as you come with an open mind, ready to make new friends!

The Korean American Student Association is an organization that promotes Korean culture through social, political, cultural, and community events. In KASA, Korean Americans and allies gather to bolster a sense of American heritage through serving the community, raising community awareness, spreading the ideals and values of what it means to be Korean-Americans, and creating professional and social opportunities to meet great people and build lasting connections.

Nikkei Student Union is a Japanese/Japanese-American interest group here at UCSB. Open to all peoples of different backgrounds, views, and cultures, this club is a place of dialogue and awareness of Japanese/Japanese-American/Asian-American cultures, issues, and topics. We put on cultural events, community-based projects, and social gatherings.

Members of QAPI provide a safe space for individuals who identify as queer and Asian, and is an outlet for expressing and exploring the intersectionality of these identities.

Korean pop (K-Pop) music is a fast-growing movement whose influence is currently expanding beyond South Korea. Formerly a niche interest that catered to a specific fan demographic, K-Pop is quickly becoming a worldwide phenomenon. This export of Korean culture and entertainment is also known as the Hallyu Wave. As the second collegiate Hallyu organization in the United States, Seoul’d Out strives to be an exemplary community that offers members a safe, intellectually stimulating environment to discuss, critique, and participate in K-Pop fandom. Seoul’d Out will bring together the K-Pop community of Santa Barbara by offering fun and casual meetings that also serve as opportunities to make meaningful connections to K-Pop fans throughout the world.

Members of the Taiwanese American Student Associate promote cultural awareness in the UCSB community and to provide unity among Taiwanese American students and allies through social and cultural events.

Members of the Taiwanese Student Associate are dedicated to enriching the college experience through Taiwanese culture through events, workshops, and service initiatives. The organization fosters community, friendship, and cultural awareness. Immerse yourself in Taiwanese culture, whether you have roots or want to explore a curiosity.

The mission of Team HBV Collegiate Chapters is to educate campus and local communities about hepatitis B and liver cancer, which disproportionately affect Asian and Pacific Islanders. Team HBV at UC Santa Barbara is a recognized student organization at University of California, Santa Barbara. It is one of twenty-one Team HBV Collegiate Chapters in the United States, which together serve as the educational and outreach arms of the Asian Liver Center at Stanford University and the international Jade Ribbon Campaign.

The Vietnamese Student Association at UCSB, aims to promote friendship and share culture among VSA members, allies, and the surrounding community. VSA strive to enhance cultural awareness through hosting and assisting social, cultural, and community service activities, such as the annual cultural show, general meetings, outreach events, picnics, BBQ's, sports, camping trip, etc. VSA work closely with UCSB, other campuses, and the surrounding community in order to fulfill the mission statement in helping the community and enriching the college experience.
