Message from the Director
|
Happy New Year! We have spent the last month working hard reading 108,503 first-year applications to UC Santa Barbara. Later this month, we'll start evaluating our 18,905 transfer applicants. we recognize every application is one of your students; the admissions team is taking the time to read each file one by one. That is why we won't post admissions
decisions until spring. Thank you for your patience.
|
This month, our Applicant Portal Opened. We emailed your students and asked them to create a password, to login, and review their personal information (name, address, etc.). That is all we need from them, unless we directly email them and ask for more information.
As a reminder, we do not allow first-year applicants to make any academic updates, nor can they change their major at this point in time. In contrast, transfer applicants have until January 31 to submit their initial TAU with academic updates and/or to request a change of major. As a reminder, we do NOT want transcripts and unsolicited documents.
Thank you,
Cuca Acosta, Executive Director
Office of Admissions
