COVID-19 Information: 
UCSB is closely monitoring  the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and making decisions to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and visitors. The Visitor Center will be closed to the public until at least May 4th.  We encourage you to visit at another time.  Campus-wide updates can be viewed here. 
As the situation evolves, we will post updates to this site. Please note that the time frame may be extended if the campus deems it necessary. 

Campus Tours and Presentations

The UCSB Visitor Center offers guided walking tours and admission presentations. Reservations are required. Campus visitors without reservations are welcome in the Visitor Center and will be invited to join activities as space allows. All available visit options are listed. If a date or time is not listed, it is unavailable. Learn more about our waitlist here.

The Visitor Center hosts groups of 20 to 100 students for a UCSB information session and guided campus walking tour.

Middle School/Elementary Groups

We are unable to accommodate middle school tours between March 23 and April 24, 2020. 

If you are scheduling a visit for a middle school or elementary group, please email to arrange your visit. 


Visitor parking is permitted in yellow lots indicated on the campus parking map. Lot 16 and parking structure 18 are closest to the Visitor Center, but if these lots are full visitors can utilize parking structure 22 or Lot 27. A valid parking permit must be purchased at the parking kiosk machines in the lot and permits must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle for the duration of your visit.

Visitor Center Hours

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Visitor Center will be closed to the public until at least May 4th.


If you are interested in joining us for a visit that is full, we will have a same-day waitlist available at the Visitor Center for those who are not registered. It will work on a first-come, first-serve basis and we will do our best to accommodate as space is available. Please note that this waitlist is only available on the day of your intended visit and you must arrive in-person to sign up. In the meantime, we encourage you to check back on the website periodically to see if spaces have opened up so that you can register for the visit of your choice.

Campus Pet Policy

Non-service animals, including pets and emotional support animals (ESAs), are not allowed in any campus buildings. This includes the presentation room of the Visitor Center.
